Summer Travels-Martinsville

After leaving Charlotte we traveled to Martinsville for a few days. Here are a few photos from our first night there. Declan had a great time playing outside with this big blue ball!

More Belated Summer Photos--- Charlotte, NC!!!

During our summer travels we visited our many friends and family in Charlotte, NC. Jimmy's sister Emily and her husband Seth live there. We stayed with them for about a week... and had a wonderful time. We had fun watching the olympics, swimming in the pool with Declan and just hanging out. We also visited with Jimmy's Aunt and cousins, and our friends Kenny and Martha. One other great visit was with our friends Mark and Leah who finished up campus ministry and moved out of the NRV right around the same time we did. It was neat to catch back up with them in their new home. We went to their daughter Abigail's first birthday party. She had a fun baseball/Boston Red Sox theme! Thanks so much to Emily and Seth for letting us stay with them! Here's a few photos from our fun trip!

Halloween Fun!

We had a very fun second Halloween with Declan! We carved pumpkins... and Declan ate the pumpkin goo and seeds (haha!). We also had a fun Halloween party with our small group here at HBC. And of course Declan dressed up and visited some friends... and collected some candy. Declan is VERY into the Moon and all things about the moon... so Jimmy made him a great moon costume this year! His grandparents also came to visit for the weekend. Here are a few photos from our fun Halloween!

Very Belated Photos from this summer!!!

I have been without my external hard-drive for several weeks now. This hard-drive had on it all of the photos I shot this summer during our whirlwind of moves and travels before finally arriving in Harrisonburg! I've been wanting to post these for a while. Cara and Tim are Engaged!!!

I was sooo very excited when my sister and her fiance' asked me to shoot their engagement portraits. We met last weekend at Virginia Tech, where they met and where they are getting married in January. The weather was absolutely perfect... and the lighting was beautiful. It also doesn't hurt to photograph two people who look like models! I have to admit the sunset was so great that I got a little overzealous with the lens flare photos... but I couldn't help it! So, anyway, here are several of my favorites... I had a hard time choosing becuase they all looked so good! Enjoy!
