Very Belated Photos from this summer!!!

I have been without my external hard-drive for several weeks now. This hard-drive had on it all of the photos I shot this summer during our whirlwind of moves and travels before finally arriving in Harrisonburg! I've been wanting to post these for a while. So, here's a start... and hopefully I can get more up soon. These are some more photos from our time in Wise, VA with my family. Enjoy!

Cara and Tim are Engaged!!!

I was sooo very excited when my sister and her fiance' asked me to shoot their engagement portraits. We met last weekend at Virginia Tech, where they met and where they are getting married in January. The weather was absolutely perfect... and the lighting was beautiful. It also doesn't hurt to photograph two people who look like models! I have to admit the sunset was so great that I got a little overzealous with the lens flare photos... but I couldn't help it! So, anyway, here are several of my favorites... I had a hard time choosing becuase they all looked so good! Enjoy!

ps... Cara and Tim, thanks so much for your patience and willingness to try anything... even when you were sick.... I love you both and can't wait to stand beside you on January 3!

I have to apologize for being so slow to update my blog! As most of you know our lives have been crazy for the past couple of months. We are now finally starting to get settled, but as for my photography... things are a bit scattered and complicated. Due to lots of circumstances I don't have all the equipment I need to edit and post all of my photos... but I hope that it won't be too much longer before I can return to regular postings. Please be patient in the meantime!

Robin and Jeff are engaged!!!

I have a few other post that should go before this one... but I need to go ahead and put this one up here! Our good friends Robin and Jeff are getting married at the end of January. One weekend, we made a visit to see them and to take some engagement photos for them. Robin and Jeff are hilarious... and it was so much fun taking these portraits. These photos are made to look like they were taken in a photo-booth. Their save-the-date cards that I will be designing will have a photo-booth "filmstrip" on it. Isn't Robin clever... what a cute idea! Here are my favorites from the photo session! Hope you enjoy.

Its Official!!! We are in Harrisonburg!

I'm so sorry for the long break in posting. We've had quite a bit going on for the past couple months and now we can finally announce officially that we have moved! Jimmy is the new Minister of Worship and Media at Harrisonburg Baptist Church. We are extremely busy with the new work schedule and with unpacking, meeting new people... and all that comes with relocating to a totally new town! We still do not have internet at home, but we're hoping to get that set up soon... and then I can finally get back to my regular posting! I have LOTS of new posts and updates... and I can't wait to share all of our new photos from the fun journey we've been on over the past couple of months! So... don't give up on me yet... the best is yet to come!

Smokey Mountain Getaway... 52 weeks-week???

This past weekend we took a little trip with my family to the Smokey Mountains. My grandparents traveled with us and my parents... and my uncle and aunt joined us at the cabin in Tennessee. We had a nice time enjoying the quiet, beauty, and quality time together. Declan had a fun time splashing in the pool that overlooked the mountains, we ate some great meals, and we played a fun Rook tourney(we LOST bad!). The best part was the AMAZING view from the deck of our cabin. The majesty and splendor of our Creator's handiwork was all around us... and I could not help but feel His presence as I gazed out upon the mountains!
On a side note... we actually managed to get a photo of our little family with me in it! I know I've really gotten behind lately with the 52 weeks submissions... but finally here's one! Thanks Mom for getting a quick shot of us before it got way too dark!
